The story of the hidden people on Volcano Island is an exciting story that tells a tale of ancient creatures, called huldufolk. One stormy night humans stranded their ship  near the huldufolk community and nothing would ever be the same on Volcano Island. The book is the creation of an Icelandic mother and son team. Sigrún Elsa Smáradóttir wrote the story and her son Smári Rúnar Róbertsson illustrated the book.
